Yesterday altered my life,

today shed light

on the silhouette blossoming in Caribbean waters

with the beauty of mermaids.

Transformed my thoughts,

altered my vision -

awakened creative prisms

within the chambers of my heart.

I have fallen in love with destiny -

following trails from Kemet to Phuket,

to the depths of ancient pyramids.

Influential like Makeda, the Queen of Sheba 

more powerful than the Queen of England,

with the wits of Indian sages,

and the grace of Brazilian samba dancers--

For whom is this meaningful passion?

Will Jamaican memories intensify my desires

and fuel my fire?

I’m in love with the shadow of the sea

residing next to me,
