ON LOVE - If That Dream Came True

If That Dream Came True

Only if that dream came true,
she was soft, beautiful, and so lovely.
I can still sense the aroma
rising above me.
Her essence encompassed all my desires,
all I ever aspired-
left me melting like the sun's fire.
A flame I knew couldn't be mine,
for she was the Empress of another in mind.
Respect for him means respect for all,
because betrayal swings back
like the pendulum when the blade falls.
I only wish to shake his hand,
his companion is a representation of the earth
and its beautiful lands.
If that dream came true,
I would be damned by my very own-
she too is a Queen,
my Queen, and me her king.
Together we grace the soils, and humbly we sing.
