ON LOVE - The Dawn of Innocence

The Dawn of Innocence

I closed my eyes and witnessed truth,
bound by love, beauty, and warmth -
Words cannot express the emotions exerted when you grace my presence,
actions will never fulfill the eternal prophecy of a boy peasant
who became a King,
and a young, charming girl who evolved into a Queen-
brought together by passion before the dawn of innocence,
an innocence that spurned into kinetic energy, thoughts of togetherness,
thoughts of bliss and wonderment.
Hugs during cold winter nights in Kyoto.
Listening to the fire flicker and flames glisten.

I close my eyes and dream of you running swiftly across blossomed fields,
maneuvering at the pace of fleeting birds and lioness herds,
In pursuit of an untold truth,
a truth that turns curiosity into the sweetness of fresh fruit.
Absence has led to belonging,
successively manifesting an unlikely fable of love,
a fable told by scrolls which washes tears down the rivers of our soul -
For I am yours, and you are mine!
Let’s forego conjecture and love eternally,
love with no pretense and an abundance of suspense.
Holding one another long and tight,
well into the dawn’s shimmering light -
dreaming under the orient of the temple’s shrine,
while welcoming the dawn of innocence.
