Veggie Rhythm

Cellular degeneration begins to infiltrate the body like drugs and liquor.
Killer disease from sentient beings who used to roam free,
evolves slower than babies to teens.
Kick the decaying meats and nourish the body with plants, grains, and seeds, 
earthly foods that the digestive system recognizes as clean. 
Choose beans over wings,
quinoa instead of turkey burgers,
and fruits to enjoy and share with friends. 
In households, pets are treated as sisters and brothers, 
while a milk-producing calf is stripped from its mother. 
Next up is cancer, diabetes, strokes, and heart disease.
Lower chronic illness if you ditch the cholesterol and digestion impeding cheese. 
pH turns acidic from dairy, soda, meat, alcohol, nicotine, 
and enriched white goods. 
So why not choose the alkalinity of plant-based foods?
We are herbivores at best, 
no hinged jaws and fangs like wild cats to tear up flesh. 
No claws to rip through skin and no internally produced vitamin C. 
We run on two, not four, so how could you expect to catch your prey, 
without knives, or a gun and bullets to spray?
Be kind brothers and sisters, 
and please stop using excuses stronger than typhoons and twisters.
