Sometimes I sit alone in my room, my kingdom; daydreaming about life.
What does it mean?
Where will it take me?
And when will it end?
Sometimes I sit alone in my kingdom and wonder about what is to come.
Yes, I want this version of me to be the best.
So, new year, same me, different mindset.
This is my journey, my mantra, my passion.
I will respect my parents, teachers, and coaches alike;
To focus on the positive things behind the revolving door.
No time for games unless it’s on the field.
I need healthful foods and ultimate fitness to physically heal -
education to maintain positive grades which appeal
to mom and dad to gain their respect.
I will speak kindly and never demean anyone less fortunate.
I am blessed with a house, daily nourishment, and parents that care.
Again, new year, same me, different mindset.
Follow my journey as I pass every test,
while smiling on my way through the exit.
